How much should you sell your clothes for on Vinted?

By James, founder of Rackd · Updated 20 October 2026 · 6 min read

Quick answer

Check what the same brand and item sells for on Vinted in the same condition, then list near the top of that range so you have room for offers. Most second-hand high-street clothes sell for a fraction of the shop price; premium brands, coats and anything new with tags hold more value. If nothing happens in a week, drop the price by about 10%.

Start with what buyers actually pay

The shop price doesn't decide what something is worth on Vinted. Buyers compare your item with every other listing of the same brand, so your price needs to make sense next to theirs. Before you set a price:

  1. Search the exact brand and item, for example "Whistles wrap coat" or "Boden camel coat".
  2. Filter by your size and condition. A "Very good" coat and a "Good" coat are different prices.
  3. Ignore the outliers. The cheapest listings are often damaged or rushed, and the most expensive ones are often sitting unsold. Look at the middle.
  4. Write down a range, not one number. That range is your fair price.

What decides the price

Real examples

These are fair price ranges Rackd gave for three items from one wardrobe clear-out:

ItemConditionFair price
Whistles wrap coatVery good£55–74
Boden camel coatVery good£45–60
M&S knitted jumperVery good£14–18

Together that's up to £152 from three things that were sitting in a wardrobe. Notice how much the brand matters: two coats in the same condition are £10–15 apart, and the jumper is a quarter of the price.

The price to list at

Buyers on Vinted make offers, so don't list at the lowest price you'd accept. List near the top of your fair range and decide your lowest acceptable price in advance. With the Whistles coat above, listing at £70 leaves room to accept offers down to about £55 and still get a fair price.

Round numbers look deliberate. £70 reads better than £68.50, and buyers are more likely to offer close to it.

Handling offers

When to drop the price

If an item has had no favourites or messages after about a week, the price is probably too high for that brand and condition. Drop it by around 10% and check again a week later. If it has lots of favourites but no sale, buyers are interested but waiting. A small drop, or sending an offer to the people who favourited it, often gets it sold.

Do sellers pay fees on Vinted UK?

For a standard sale, buyers pay Vinted's fee at checkout, on top of your item price. That means the price you list is what you get for the item. Optional extras such as bumping a listing do cost money. Check Vinted's own price list for the latest details, because fees can change.

Questions

How do I find out what my clothes are worth on Vinted?

Search Vinted for the same brand and item, filter by your size and condition, and look at the middle of the prices you see. Rackd can do this from a photo and gives you a fair UK price range and one price to list at.

Should I price high on Vinted and accept offers?

List near the top of your fair range, not above it. Buyers expect to make offers, so leave about 10–20% of room and decide your lowest price in advance.

When should I lower my price on Vinted?

If an item has had no favourites or messages after about a week, drop the price by around 10% and check again a week later.

Do you pay fees to sell on Vinted UK?

For a standard sale, the buyer pays Vinted's fee at checkout, so the price you list is what you get. Optional extras like bumping a listing cost extra.
